Bishop Dr. Titus Masika (OGW) is a visionary leader, author, and the Executive Director of Christian Impact Mission (CIM), renowned for his pioneering work in community transformation through mindset and behavior change. With a deep commitment to sustainable development, economic empowerment, and value-based leadership, Dr. Masika has dedicated his life to uplifting individuals and communities across Kenya and the broader East African region. His innovative “Empowered Worldview Model” serves as the cornerstone of CIM’s highly successful programs, addressing critical issues such as food and water insecurity, economic dependency, and conflict.
Dr. Masika’s extensive experience as a retired high school principal laid the groundwork for his profound impact in educational and community leadership. He holds a PhD in Transformational Leadership from the Global University of Lifelong Learning (GULL University), which has further enriched his expertise in driving positive change at both individual and societal levels.
Under his leadership, CIM’s flagship program, Operation Mwolyo Out (OMO), launched in 2009 in Yatta, Machakos County, has become a national and regional model for climate change resilience, adaptation, food security, and economic empowerment, directly benefiting over 6,000 households and inspiring countless others.
Key Initiatives & Contributions
- Pioneering Mindset Change: Authored the “Empowered Worldview Model,” the foundational text for CIM’s transformative programs, emphasizing sustainable development through internal transformation.
- Community Transformation Catalyst: Spearheaded Operation Mwolyo Out (OMO), a groundbreaking program in Yatta, Machakos County, addressing water and food insecurity and dependency syndrome, now a model for climate resilience and economic empowerment.
- Regional Impact: Successfully implemented CIM’s Empowered Worldview Model in diverse regions, including East Pokot, Kitui (Kwa Vonza), Makueni (in collaboration with the County Government), and Tanzania (in partnership with World Vision Tanzania).
- Academic Collaboration: Partnered with the University of Nairobi’s African Drylands Institute for Sustainability in curriculum development and training for students, fostering future leaders in sustainable development.
- Spiritual Leadership: Founded and serves as Bishop of the Victory Life International Churches, integrating spiritual principles with community development.
- Expert Trainer & Consultant: Serves as the chief trainer and consultant at CIM’s Model Training Center, hosting and training diverse groups including NGOs, INGOs, government bodies, universities, and international representatives.
- Youth Empowerment: Partnered with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) East African region to support youth engagement in Agriculture through CIM’s “African Youth in Agribusiness for Wealth and Employment (AYAWE)” initiative.
- Peacebuilding & Livelihood Resilience: Made a considerable impact in Northern pastoralist communities with CIM’s Peace and Conflict Model, promoting alternative livelihood options and resilience practices to break cycles of conflict and dependency.
